Part I. Tallinn
The unforgettable tour to Estonia perhaps is the most memorable travel of Stanley ever yet. The 16 days exploration of almost the whole country of Estonia started from the exquisite, colorful and lovely capital Tallinn. This charming city espcially the joyous old town is a joy to walk around to experience the historic architecture, church and the medieval vibes. The local people is so nice and always willing to help. The weather is also a delight!
A very cozy old town. If there is a place which I would love to stay for the rest of my life, it will be Estonia!
I brought Sony A7RV, 24-70mm f2.8 GMII, the new 20-70mm f4G, Voigtlander 40mm f2.8 heliar, Sigma 20mm f1.4 dg dn art, Laowa 10mm f4 cookie, ttartisan 27mm f2.8 pencake lens for the trip and I also have the A7C and ZV-E10 for backup and also videos. It is also a paradise for photographer! What a beautiful place!
The food in Tallinn is amazing. The above is from the Vegan Restoran V, the best vegan cusine we ever had. I also bought their newly-published cookbook which is entirely vegan. Love! The entire Estonia cityscape is really musical I would say. So vivid yet harmonious.
It was spring/ early summer time in Estonia when I visit in late May to early June. Everywhere is blossoming. Wherever I go, I love to see its market, supermarket.
When you look the photos that out of Sony A7RV and all those lens, you will never regret to bring the camera and to see the beauty and details and colors straight from the sensor. Amazing! By the way, all photos are edited in Capture One.
Even a basketball playground is so artistic and colorful! (location: near Balti Jaama Turg) This pic is taken by Voigtlander 40mm f2.8 heliar M mount adapted on Sony. It is such a gem for contrast, colors and image depth. So vibrant but accurate and 3D pop! Plus it is TINY!
Estonian loves flowers and nature. My favorite too!
Lahemaa, Jägala waterfall and Anija Mõis
Breathtaking!
I love exploring rare, less-known but fantastic places. Anija Manor is such a gem near the waterfall. I have the wonderful lunch at Anija Mõisakohwik!! The tableware, the dining atmosphere, the piano, the dishes-- as if traveling back to Mr. Darcy's era in Pride and Prejudice.
Very exciting to be surrounded by all these exquisite, elegant decor. I hope I can stay here for the whole day or two. I enjoyed the meal so much. Handmade, original and traditional. Great service and friendly staff.
This room is so welcoming and full of lovely floral decorations. My heart is full. There are at least 4 pianos in this manor!!
Then I headed to Lahemaa. It took my breath away.
I hope you enjoy my photos. Many from the Lahemaa are taken by Sigma 20mm f1.4 dg dn art. It's one of my wide angle favorite. The sky and clouds that day is perfect for taking photos of the awesome water reflection. The viru bog walk is so enjoyable.
