Part II: Viljandi
After Tallinn, I took the train down to the charming town Viljandi. And I have to tell you I adore this town! I went to Viljandi twice (back and forth from Tallinn) The first day I was so lucky to encounter the Hanseatic Days of Viljandi. Fun festival and many street foods, store and handicraft in the main town. It was a blast to look around in this interesting festival.
I absolutely love this kind of party style village festival.
This is the hotel I stayed. The nice Park Hotell Viljandi! What a beautiful building it is. Their breakfast is lovely with fresh orange juice which you can sneeze by your own. The room is spacious and with good wifi. And I can say the architecture of Viljandi is fabulous. Take a look at the street scenery below:
And of course, you won't miss the Viljandi Castle Ruins which dated back in 12th century
And you can view the Viljandi lake from this uphill. Stunning view indeed. Picturesque and I love this kind of forest and lake. Did you know Viljandi is once the Forest captial city of Estonia!
Wow!!!
The one below is taken by Voigtlander 40mm f2.8 Heliar. Great depth! Look at those tree underneath. And the fesh air. What a view!!
The Viljandi Lake blow me away!
